The Ground Is Level At The Foot Of The Cross

9 Dec 2015

This might be a little more Easter than Advent, but I find that this season actually forces me to consider the full ramifications of the decision God made to live among us here on earth.

So this week I have one thing for reflection. No matter who we are, where we come from, our experiences, our lifestyles, our gifts, talents, likes, dislikes, height, age, ethnicity, religious heritage. When we are at the foot of the Cross, we all stand on the same platform.

No one person is better or worse off than any other person. No one is more or less talented than anyone else. No one is any more holy than anyone else. What gift or gifts He has given someone does not make them more important than you or less important than you.

When we are face to face with the Cross, there is only Jesus.

In our lives, as we manage our living day to day, we are to treat everyone better than ourselves, but that is everyone, not just one or two people who seem to look particularly holy or righteous.

In this too, remember, particularly for those who forget, that Christ in You also deserves the same amount of attention that you give others.

There is no one of us that is higher than any other, but all of us on the Narrow Way has the Resurrected and Ascended Lord Jesus Christ living inside us.

When you’re looking in the mirror, you’re also looking at Jesus, and He is looking back.

God Bless You Very Much

Anita

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28 (NIV)

Therefore, if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:1-4 (NIV)

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 (NIV)
