Exposing Offence: What It Is & How To Break It

What Is Offence? Offence today is politically and socially loaded. It is an increasing currency we display, trade and use as a weapon in defence and attack. It has also become a tool used to control people. We either tiptoe around unwilling to speak truth because we fear offending someone; or singly or collectively we beat our truth into each other no matter if it’s appropriate, timely, helpful and Godly or not. We all know offence produces a high emotional charge, but what is it really? Offence is an extreme form of highlighting for us where change is needed. Practicing The Presence: The Power Of Rest

Humans have a tendency to look for short-cuts. We prefer to find the quick way, the most efficient and effective way. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26 (NIV) Whatever we hope for this new year, whatever goals we set, whatever prize we run towards, our Father must be the first thing in all our endeavours. From the first thou
