As It Was In The Beginning

Are you a delayed gratification person or an immediate fulfilment person? Do you like to open your presents slowly and be careful taking off the paper, trying to make sure the sticky tape doesn’t tear it, being very careful, admiring the paper, admiring the way it has been wrapped, being grateful for the person who gave it to you while you take your time getting to the inside of the gift? Or do you like the sound of tearing paper and need to get inside as quickly as possible to see what is inside, what the person got for you so you can be as grateful as possible for the gift and the person as quickly as possible, and start using it- or admiring it- right away! I’m a super loooooong gift open

The Sign Of The Eight Eagles

I have been waiting for this moment for ages! I really hope that this is a word that encourages you, that it reaches the right people in the right time. One of my favourite things is when God gives a word in season. Several months ago, on our regularly scheduled jaunt south, Pamela and I saw eight eagles in a small area of the state. They were actual, physical, real and flying Wedge-tailed Eagles. The most I have seen in a day, within ¾ of an hour actually. I have spoken about Golden Eagles (Wedge-tailed Eagles) briefly before- these are one of the species of eagle we have here in Tassie, we also have Sea Eagles, which are the same genus as the Bald Eagle. To have eight in one hit is pretty

Free Will: The Paradox Of Choice

Do you ever get caught up in the whole “…but what do I DO??? Just tell me what to DO!!!” thing? I got green-carded by Jesus last year. I didn’t know what to think about that and it’s taken nearly twelve months to reach a resolution and learn a retrospective lesson from my teen years. Jesus opened up a bunch of doors in front of me. I usually walk a very narrow road, it is just part and parcel of the relationship I have with God. So I had the opportunity to explore each door and decide whether I wanted to cross through

Learning our Authority in Christ, and using our Authority in Christ. This post is about the Sword of the Spirit- the Word of God. There is a strength comes from understanding the power in the Word of God. This is not an intellectual understanding, but an experiential understanding. One of the great advantages the Bible affords us, is that it is meant to be a practical manual, not an intellectual discussion paper. Unfortunately, we have often been taught in western cultures that thinking is more valuable than doing, and we miss the

Pioneers & Settlers

Want to know a conundrum? I am a pretty much middle aged introvert who loves people… The best thing in the world is to be in a house by myself and not see anyone for days. Weeks. Months! Oh what Joy! Then there are people... I love people. People are amaze! I really love people, I love all our different colours and personalities, all our different cultures and languages, songs, stories, the way we develop and grow. We are such a fascinating being, with such capacity, such potential. I particularly love to explore difference. It is such an amazing thing to be able to recognize and celebrate the things about you that are unique to you, that things that God has made you to be that nobody else c
